Mah Jong Interest Group
![]()
Mah Jong may sound very foreign but it has considerable local appeal here in the Exe Valley U3A. We already have over twenty members, several of whom have bought their own sets and have taught non-U3A friends to play.
We are a mixture of experienced players, improvers and beginners and always welcome newcomers. By meeting twice a month, everyone soon gets to know each other and although we are always learning new moves, we don't take it all too seriously.
Beginners Group and Improvers group: Newcomers are always welcome; if they know nothing about the game they start in our ongoing beginners group and then soon progress to join our improvers group.
We have over twenty regular players who come to one of our two sessions in the month (first and third Fridays in the month) but new players are welcome to attend both.
If you like board games you'll love Mah Jong.
