Mah Jong may sound very foreign but it has considerable local appeal here in the Exe Valley U3A.  We already have over twenty members, several of whom have bought their own sets and have taught non-U3A friends to play.
 

 

Because we are a popular group members now come along on either the first or third Friday in the month. Some members are planning to meet up with each other for a game in their own homes on other Fridays in the month.

We are a mixture of experienced players, improvers and beginners and always welcome newcomers. By meeting once a month, everyone soon gets to know each other and although we are always learning new moves, we don't take it all too seriously. 

Unlike bridge - you don't need to remember what has already been played - which is a relief. If you like board games you'll love Mah Jong.
